• Oceania Plans Special 180-Day World Voyage for Insignia in 2015

    Oceania Cruises is planning a six-month, port-intensive voyage for its 698-passenger Insignia in 2015, Travel Pulse has learned. The voyage, which is roughly 80 days longer than a typical World Cruise, will visit 89 ports in 33 countries on five continents. The Insignia currently is chartered to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises but returns to Oceania in April.

  • Oceania Schedules 2015 Calls at New Banana Coast in Honduras

    Oceania Cruises became the third line to agree to visit the new $30 million Banana Coast cruise facility on mainland Honduras on the Western Caribbean. Oceania’s 1,250-passenger Riviera is scheduled to call in March 2015.

    Construction on the passenger reception and shopping center was completed in February. A slate of shore excursions includes cultural, historical, soft-adventure and eco-tour offerings. Future plans call for construction of a two-berth, post-Panamax pier.…Read More »
